MISSION /ADVENTURE
LUTHERIDGE 2014
The Mission: Travel to Lutheridge North Carolina to engage in various adventure activities, on campus and surrounding areas and to spend two days working with Habitat For Humanity in the Ashville and Henderson areas.
Thursday July 17, 2014:
Got up early, packed a lunch after breakfast, and proceeded to Habitat site in Ashville. Unfortunately three of our youngest had to return to camp and worked the day with a very special needs group who called themselves the "summer shines."
Brennen, Karen and Jacob spent the day nailing together the inside framing of this house.
Casey, Steve, Sheila and the future owners of this house spent the day mixing and applying stucco to this foundation.
Friday July 18, 2014:
Got up early, packed a lunch after breakfast, and proceeded to Habitat site in Henderson county. It rained most of the day but we were all permitted to work inside this site.
Saturday July 19, 2014:
Got up early, packed our stuff, had breakfast, said good-by to our new friends and headed home.
